The Ocher Conservatory allows you to discover the path of ocher, from its extraction to its transformation into a manufactured product (visit of the old factory with its basins, workshops, ovens ... shop and library).

1ST SOURCE IN EUROPE

The village of Fontaine de Vaucluse has had the privilege of giving its name to the department. At the end of a deep green gorge, at the foot of a cliff sculpted by erosion, the most beautiful river in the department springs: the Sorgue. With an average total flow of 630 million m3 per year, this source is the first in Europe, and one of the largest in the world, in terms of its volume of water discharged. It results from the emergence of a huge underground network. From Fontaine de Vaucluse, you can go down the Sorgue by canoe or kayak.

The wine route

CHATEAUNEUF, GIGONDAS & CO

Present for millennia, the history of the vineyard and that of Vaucluse merge. In turn, Greeks, Romans, Popes and Jews played a determining role, not forgetting that of the Rhône. Three appellations now share the territory: Côtes du Rhône, AOC Ventoux and AOC Luberon. Châteauneuf-du-Pape has acquired international fame. Discover all these winegrowing villages including: Gigondas, Vaqueyras, Châteauneuf du Pape, Beaumes de Venise. The Dentelles de Montmirail wine route is particularly attractive.

The Camargue

Avignon

Luberon

The Luberon Regional Natural Park covers 185,000 hectares, spread over 77 municipalities: 51 municipalities in Vaucluse and 26 municipalities in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Whether small or large, perched or located on the plain, the villages of the Luberon are all pretexts to taste the tranquility of Provençal life: around fountains, in the shade of plane trees, in picturesque, narrow and winding streets and on the burning cobblestones of the village squares, each of the villages is differentiated by heritage curiosities and original architecture. And among the most famous: Gordes, Lacoste, Ménerbes, Lourmarin, Bonnieux and Goult.
